GALLERY BIO EXHIBITIONS STATEMENT STUDIO CONTACT   WRITINGS

8 November 2005
Today I decided to photogarph a few pages of my journal and put them on the site.  I am going to try to do this more often.  Unfortunatley most of my journal tends to be rather personal so I would prefer not to broadcast it across the 'net.  However, the images to the left are a sample of what goes through my head when I am spilling it all out on paper.

The following drawing, recognizable to many is the Coit Tower, as seen from my studio window.  The poems and stories I write down are usually reflections on the things I see and the people I meet.

The drawing below is from the Cappucin Catacombs in Palermo, Sicily.  I felt that it was too irreverent to photograph the human remains on display inside the catacombs but felt that it was acceptable to draw one particularly inspiring display:
 "PACE AGLI ESTINTI"

This is a study for the first of two Vesuvio works that I did last year.  You can click on the sketch to the left to take you to the completed original.
